Product Description
Class Description
EPA Energy Star New Homes Program Version 3 Update. This class will be a Two-Day class to update all existing and New Raters on the EPA Energy Star New Homes Program Update. EPA is working together with Rater Trainers to ensure that Home Energy Raters are prepared to successfully deliver ENERGY STAR for Homes Version 3 Guidelines to their builder customers.  Raters will be required to take this training by the end of 2011.  This requirement will apply to all existing ENERGY STAR Rater partners, as well as any new Raters that would like to certify Energy Star Homes in the future.  EPA and RESNET are also working to ensure that this training will be eligible for 18 hours of Rater Professional Development credits. This class is ALL that you need to be Re-Certified for the next THREE YEARS.
This training will cover a range of topics that Raters will need to know to qualify homes under NEW ENERGY STAR Version 3, including the ENERGY STAR Reference Design Home, Benchmark Home/Size Adjustment factor, as well as technical details for completing the required ENERGY STAR Inspection Checklists (Thermal Enclosure, Water Management System, and HVAC Quality Installation).
This is the registration for taking the Energy Star Version 3 Update only. This class is for EXISTING Raters to provide Professional Development. If you are not Currently a Rater, you must take the Full rater course E-900. Check out our schedule for the next up coming class.
