(Ten Day HERS Energy Rater Training Course - RESNET)

ONTILITY’s RESNET approved Rater Training Course utilizing DPIS Engineering curriculum is designed to prepare students to become Certified Home Energy Raters and to pass the National RESNET Raters Test. Once the candidate successfully completes the course and passes the National Rater Test, the rater can align with ONTILTY, as a Provider, to complete the final 3 “As-Built” ratings. These ratings must be submitted to and approved by another Provider, before the final Rater Certificate is issued by the Provider. 

ONTILITY’s RESNET approved Certification Rater Training Course will provide you with the knowledge to correctly prepare a detailed analysis of energy consumption and to present recommendations on saving money through energy conservation to homeowners, building owners, and home builders. This course will also teach you how to help builders and architects improve home energy efficiency through building analysis using the house-as-a-system approach.

ONTILITY’s HERS Energy Rater Training Course requires 10 days of classroom and field training.This class includes the additional EPA Version 3 Guidelines Update. It includes one on one field training and the post-course exam. Your success will depend in part on your ability to learn and retain information in a short period of time. Candidates must have the ability to comprehend and complete 11th grade mathematics.
